Founded in 1982 by an active Parmedic, BCS was the result of an idea born of frustration.

In his EMS Career our Founder observed that Public Safety Personnel had to shop at many different places to obtain the most basic of supplies and even those supplies were often not well suited for the task. His idea was to put those basic needs for Police, Fire, and EMS Personnel under one roof. Little did he know that he was on the early cutting edge of what was to become a new standard for marketing to public safety professionals across the nation. Many companies have since grown into the Public Safety Supply field.

What continues to make BCS unique in our age is that we remain an independent. BCS is not captive to any supplier, not a subsidiary of any larger company, and buys 99.9% of its inventory direct from factories.

We do not buy from Wholesalers. By buying factory direct we cut out the interim markup of a wholesaler, as well as being able to offer the entire breadth of a factory product line rather than just those items a wholesaler chooses to offer.
