This badge clip is specifically cut for the popular 5 point star with rocker panels made popular by the Sheriff's Association of Texas.  The two pieces are attached by a leather strap at the top that allows one to fasten the badge into the cut-out.  Then both pieces are placed back together and held securely by velcro.  Fastens to the pants or belt with a heavy duty clock spring steel clip.
